Family Violence Support Worker

At Plus Community, we deliver comprehensive support services to individuals and their families.

Our holistic approach ensures that we provide housing along with crucial support needed to foster independence and choice.

This position focuses on early intervention and prevention principles to prevent homelessness and enable women and children to experience long term stability in housing, income, employment, education, and social support networks.

The Case Worker will establish collaborative partnerships and networks with stakeholders to ensure effective service referral pathways for women's safety after separation from domestic violence.

Key qualifications include strong experience in community services, ideally within the DFV sector; ability to professionally and sensitively deliver client services to clients experiencing emotional distress; well-developed communication skills; and demonstrated experience in identifying key stakeholders and establishing relationships.

This is a part time position (4 days a week) with maximum term contract until 30th June 2026.

The Case Worker is classified as Level 4.1 under the SCHADS Award, which equates to $88,327 gross per annum (Full time equivalent).

Being a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for SHLV work, and this position has been formally exempted under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 for this purpose.
