Job Description

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive strategy and operations for a complex division. As Executive Director, you will lead one of the Hunter's most impactful service portfolios.

This role offers connection, complexity, and a chance to shape real change for those who need it most. You will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable people and help shape a more compassionate future for our region.

As a seasoned executive with at least 5 years' experience in community services or a related human services sector, you will bring strong operational acumen and the courage to sit at the table with regulators and government.

Responsibilities
  • Lead one of our most mission-critical portfolios with over 10 core services
  • Mentor and guide four direct reports and a broader workforce of 280+
  • Strengthen systems and accountability to drive risk maturity and operational consistency
  • Champion a culture of psychological safety, collaboration, and care
  • Represent us with clarity and confidence in regulatory and funding forums
  • Partner with other Executive Directors to shape organisational strategy and impact
  • Inspire a culture of continuous improvement in a dynamic and regulated environment
Requirements
  • At least 5 years' experience at executive level in community services or a related human services sector
  • Strong capability in leading through change and building team capability during periods of transformation
  • Proven ability to engage with regulators, government funders, and boards with credibility and presence
  • High levels of strategic thinking, planning, and execution across diverse programs
  • Demonstrated experience navigating complex stakeholder environments with emotional intelligence
  • A coachable mindset and values alignment with our mission
