About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our Substation Design team at Essential Energy. As an Engineering Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality substation designs that meet the needs of our customers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in substation design and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

About Your Experience

We are looking for someone with:

  1. Experience in a similar Substation Design engineering role in the Energy/Electrical sector and/or Asset Management roles.
  2. Knowledge and application of current design philosophies, procedures, statutory requirements including Safe Design.
  3. Demonstrated experience to utilise analytical and technical knowledge to manage activities during planned and unplanned events providing appropriate solutions to technical/engineering issues in the Energy Network Technical environment.
About Your Skills

We are looking for someone with:

  1. Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to manage diverse and complex issues.
  2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deliver technical services in a professional and timely manner.
  3. Strong attention to detail and commitment to produce quality work.
  4. Strong time management skills with excellent planning and organizational skills, to be able to handle a varying complex workload.
Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Diploma of Electrical Engineering or demonstrated capability through past employment experience and/or relevant qualifications.
  2. Work Cover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
  3. Current Driver's Licence
