We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic English teacher to support our students as we grow young people of faith, character, and purpose.

Your Responsibilities

  • Be a dynamic part of the English team, creating rich learning experiences that strengthen students academically and with their general dispositions.
  • Create resources, assessment tasks, and lessons that align with the new Stage 4-5 English Syllabus, including the meaningful inclusion of technology and project-based learning experiences where applicable.
  • Teach all Stage 6 courses, with knowledge of syllabus requirements, and an understanding of NESA requirements for Stage 6 English Courses.
  • Build strong connections with students, staff, and the wider school community through effective communication.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in developing integrated learning experiences for junior students.

About You

  • You must be a highly committed professional with a desire to make a difference in the lives of students.
  • You should be an excellent classroom practitioner and communicator, with a commitment to academic excellence and high expectations of students.
  • You possess strong interpersonal skills, valuing relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • You have experience with Stage 6 learning, including teaching the New Stage 6 Syllabus.
  • You are committed to your own professional learning and growth.
  • You are pastorally minded and comfortable sharing your faith.
  • You understand the wellbeing needs of adolescents.
