Job Description

Production packers are responsible for maintaining high standards of packaging, loading items into containers, and accurately labeling products. They perform final checks to identify defective items and ensure all working items reach their designated locations or inventory.

Attention to detail is crucial in this role, as packers must prevent damage to products during transit. This involves securely sealing each container and using hand tools, adhesives, padding, and other protective materials as needed.

The production packer's role requires a combination of physical labor, problem-solving skills, and attention to safety protocols. They must maintain a clean work area and adhere to established guidelines regarding packaging procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.
  • Follow established guidelines for packaging.
  • Identify and dispose of defective items.
  • Properly use packaging materials, including hand tools, glues, nails, padding, etc.
  • Maintain accurate records of all materials that pass through the warehouse.
  • Maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Experience in manufacturing or related field preferred.
  • Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to collaborate with team members.
