Technical Support Specialist

\

We are seeking a skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technology function, you will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our teams and users.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing first-line technical support for our core SaaS platforms and productivity suite.\
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to desktop hardware, software applications, and network connectivity.\
  • Managing support requests through our ticketing system and ensuring timely resolution.\
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining user hardware, software, and system access in a remote environment.\
  • Collaborating with the Technical Capability Lead and other teams to identify opportunities for system improvements and assist in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.\
  • Staying updated on new product features, emerging technologies, and industry trends to provide informed and effective support.\
  • Developing and maintaining clear, comprehensive user documentation, knowledge base articles, and internal training materials to empower staff.\
  • Contribution to the technical onboarding of new team members, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge to succeed from day one.\
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities to increase operational efficiency.\
  • Administering and developing a CRM system, including process mapping and building logic-based workflows to automate and streamline business processes.\
  • Assisting in the administration of a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform for managing a fleet of devices in an enterprise environment.\
  • Implementing and enforcing robust security measures to protect against malicious cyber acts and ensure the cyber resilience and continuity of Australia's Critical Infrastructure.\
  • Participating in regular meetings and updates with the Technical Capability Lead and other teams to discuss ongoing projects, share knowledge, and address any challenges or concerns.\
  • Engaging with stakeholders to gather feedback and suggestions for improving the effectiveness of the technical support function and overall service delivery.\
  • Supporting the development of strategic plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing Australia's national cyber resilience and sovereignty.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Approximately 2-3 years of experience in a technical support, helpdesk, or systems administration role.\
  • Demonstrated experience in the administration of SaaS platforms, including but not limited to productivity suites, enterprise messaging platforms, and project management suites.\
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions, including hands-on administration of Identity-as-a-Service (IDaaS platforms.\
  • Proven experience administering and developing a CRM system, with a focus on creating and managing logic-based workflows.\
  • Hands-on experience with a Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform for administering a fleet of devices in an enterprise environment.\
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.\
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical colleagues.\
  • An ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.\
  • Basic knowledge of common scripting languages for automation.\
  • Familiarity with low-code/no-code workflow automation platforms.\
  • A basic understanding of cloud platforms.\
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which includes passing a national police background check.
