Job Title: Asset Officer, IT Infrastructure

The primary objective of this role is to support the Asset Manager in effectively managing IT equipment and services within the IT Infrastructure Section. This involves participating in section planning and contributing to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives.

This position requires undertaking moderately complex to complex work under limited direction, utilizing knowledge in logistics and asset management. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to communicate effectively across a geographically dispersed network.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Participating in section planning and contributing to strategic planning for longer-term initiatives
  • Supporting the Asset Manager in managing IT equipment and services
  • Undertaking moderately complex to complex work under limited direction
  • Utilizing knowledge in logistics and asset management

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A proven ability to communicate effectively across a geographically dispersed network
  • Proven analytical abilities to propose and facilitate change for business improvement
  • Demonstrated personal integrity while achieving results within legislative and policy parameters
  • Knowledge and experience in IT logistics management and logistics systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth frameworks, including procurement frameworks
  • Desirable qualifications include a relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate III or IV, or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above
  • Experience with Software Asset Management (SAM) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) within the Service Now (SNOW) platform
  • A current Drivers License

Eligibility Requirements:

  • AEC employees must be Australian citizens
  • Any person who is active in political affairs cannot be considered for this role due to neutrality requirements
  • Applicants are required to undergo and maintain a character clearance and security clearance required for this role
