Job Opportunity: Environmental Stewardship Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Environmental Stewardship Specialist to support our team in implementing conservation projects focused on Indigenous People, their Country, and their rights.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the team to design, deliver, and report on projects and agreements in accordance with internal policies and external partnership requirements.
  • Provide project support activities with internal and external parties to achieve project goals.
  • Maintain document management systems and collaborate with partners to ensure project success.

In this role, you will work closely with various partners, including Indigenous communities, to achieve excellence in conservation. Your key responsibilities include maintaining document management systems, collaborating with internal and external parties, and ensuring project success.

Requirements:
  • Possess a strong passion for working with Indigenous groups and diverse networks.
  • Demonstrate relationship building experience to work closely with various partners.
  • Have lived experience working with Indigenous communities or possess relevant qualifications in natural resource management, equity in natural resource management, or a similar field, accompanied by three years of experience.
  • Showcase your ability to complete tasks independently within set timelines.
  • Prove effective communication skills through written, spoken, and graphical means in English.

Tertiary qualifications are advantageous but not essential; your passion for working with Traditional Owners and conserving Australia's unique natural environment is more critical for success in this role.
