About This Role

This is a key position within our organization that focuses on delivering initiatives and programs to support the wellbeing, health and safety of our people. The role contributes to the delivery of initiatives and programs that align with our strategic direction on physical and psychological wellbeing, health and safety.

The successful candidate will design, deliver and administer initiatives and programs to improve the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our people. They will also be responsible for managing the wellbeing, health and safety management to meet legal obligations and maintain compliance with relevant WHS Acts, Regulations and codes.

Other key responsibilities include engaging, consulting with and collaborating with various stakeholders such as P&C leaders, People Partners, the Risk team, the Work, Health and Safety Committee and others. Additionally, they will coordinate health and wellbeing audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.

The ideal candidate will provide advice and guidance to our teams on health, safety and wellbeing matters and interpret related policies and procedures. They will consult with our workforce on WHS matters and collate, analyse, interpret, evaluate and present data regarding health and wellbeing activities for reporting and decision-making purposes.

They will also monitor the effectiveness of our wellbeing, health and safety framework and promote a health and wellbeing culture, advocating to embed wellbeing, health and safety principles within our organization.

The successful candidate will stay updated with legislative changes and communicate required updates. They will prepare WHS reports for senior management and act as our Return to Work Coordinator, supporting injury management.

Key requirements for this role include a Certificate IV Work Health & Safety, Return to Work certification (desired) and experience in implementing health and wellbeing activities and programs. The ideal candidate will also have a demonstrated understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and its application, as well as the ability to work in an environment requiring attention to detail and accuracy.

They will need to be able to work autonomously and in a dynamic financial services environment. Microsoft Office skills are also essential for this role.
