Job Overview

This role oversees the delivery of a single integrated transport network, managing the Rail Transport Service Contract (Rail TSC), leading a high-performing team and providing expert advice to senior executives and stakeholders. The successful candidate will have leadership experience in contract management, program oversight and public transport policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program management including annual program development activities and program oversight of the passenger rail network, under the Rail TSC.
  • Consult with internal and external agencies and represent the department at forums related to the Rail TSC and the transport network.
  • Provide strategic advice to senior executives and stakeholders, preparing reports and briefing notes.
  • Proactively manage the resolution of issues which may result in project variations or changes to the Rail TSC.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to guide and support teams, foster collaboration and manage resources effectively.
  • Experience in managing contracts or programs, including planning, reporting and coordination.
  • Collaboration across different teams, organisations and communities.
  • Sound judgement and the ability to understand and respond to different perspectives and context.
