Real-Time Data Engineer Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Real-Time Data Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend infrastructure for real-time data processing and analysis.

Your primary focus will be on building and optimizing low-latency data pipelines for large volumes of data in real-time, as well as developing and implementing algorithms and data structures for efficient data storage and retrieval.

Collaboration with data scientists and traders is also essential, as you will integrate machine learning models and trading strategies into the backend infrastructure.

Ensuring data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance is critical to this role. Additionally, you will monitor and analyze system performance to identify potential issues and optimize overall performance.

Effective communication and teamwork skills are necessary to work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-performance backend infrastructure for real-time data processing and analysis.
  • Build and optimize low-latency data pipelines for large volumes of data in real-time.
  • Develop and implement algorithms and data structures for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and traders to integrate machine learning models and trading strategies.
  • Ensure data privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance to optimize overall performance.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development with Golang/Rust/Python.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
  • Experience working with quant trading or crypto data is highly desirable.
  • Solid experience designing and building scalable backend systems for real-time data processing and analysis.
  • Experience with database design and management using SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services like AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
  • Experience with message brokers such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
