Hastha Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Canberra. This role involves providing technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures, contributing to the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance and updates, and implementing agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • IT Infrastructure: Provide technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures, contribute to the planning and implementation of infrastructure maintenance and updates, and implement agreed infrastructure changes and maintenance routines.
  • Problem Management: Investigate problems in systems, processes, and services, and assist with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures.
  • Programming/Software Development: Design, code, verify, test, document, amend, and refactor simple programs/scripts, apply agreed standards and tools to achieve a well-engineered result, and review own work.
  • Systems Design: Design system components using appropriate modelling techniques following agreed architectures, design standards, patterns, and methodology, identify and evaluate alternative design options and trade-offs, create multiple design views to address the concerns of different stakeholders, model, simulate, or prototype the behaviour of proposed system components to enable approval by stakeholders, produce detailed design specifications to form the basis for the construction of systems, and review, verify, and improve own designs against specifications.
  • Systems Installation and Removal: Undertake or supervise complex installations and de-installations of systems or components, including handover to the client, develop procedures and standards for installation and handover to maintain and improve the installation service, schedule installation work around client priorities and resource availability, and ensure adherence to established safety and quality procedures.

The ideal candidate will have experience in IT infrastructure, problem management, programming/software development, systems design, and systems installation and removal. They will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT infrastructure, problem management, programming/software development, systems design, and systems installation and removal.
  • Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, problem management, programming/software development, systems design, and systems installation and removal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A high level of integrity and professionalism.
