About the Role:

  • Assist in legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes and provide guidance on various legal issues.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalise legal documents, contracts, and agreements, including lease agreements, purchase agreements, and other transactional documents.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and provide guidance to the organization on legal and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal advice and support in relation to commercial activities.
  • Manage and monitor ongoing legal cases and disputes, working closely with external counsel as required.
  • Manage a panel of legal organisations and manage their hours and activities in order to ensure timely and cost effective advice to the business.
  • Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Our ideal candidate requires:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a corporate lawyer or in a similar legal role
  • Strong understanding of commercial law and regulations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in using legal research tools as well as MS Office applications

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
