Xero's Identity & Auth Team ensures that our customers can access Xero safely and securely. We support both external customer experiences (login and multi-factor authentication pages) and internal engineering customers (authentication and authorisation platforms).
Job DescriptionWe're looking for an experienced Technical Leader to join our team as a Team Lead - Engineering. As a Team Lead, you'll lead two pods of talented developers, working together with the Product Manager and Lead Engineers to set the direction of the pods, formulating and executing on a delivery plan.
You will promote successful outcomes for the pods, supporting your direct reports in becoming high-performing engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork, and promoting excellent engineering and delivery practices.
This is a role with significant impact, working on a platform used by millions of customers every day. To be successful in this role, you'll need to understand technical decisions, ask the right questions, and challenge the team to arrive at the right approach.

- Help resolve roadblocks faced by the team.
- Look to continually improve and iterate on agile processes and practices within the team.
You'll have the opportunity to work on a microservice written in C# on .NET, using AWS services, running in a Docker container orchestrated by Kubernetes, accessed by a Single-Page Application (SPA) written in React with TypeScript, deployed with an automated CI/CD pipeline, and monitored by industry-leading tools.
