Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Behavioural Therapy Assistant to work with a family in Carrum Downs, providing 1:1 therapy to clients in varied settings.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and strong communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients and their families.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about helping individuals reach their full potential. As a Behavioural Therapy Assistant, you will provide support to clients in developing their skills in communication, social interactions, and emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 therapy to clients in diverse settings
  • Support clients in developing their skills in communication, social interactions, and emotional regulation
  • Collect client data to track progress and identify areas of improvement
  • Foster a positive environment that encourages client participation and engagement
Required Skills and Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Working with Children Check & NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module - 'Quality, Safety and You'
  • Australian Driver's License & Vehicle
  • Laptop/iPad - applicants will use their own device on shift
Desirable Skills and Experience

Candidates with the following qualifications and experience are highly desirable:

  • Studying or completed a Degree/Certificate in Psychology, Disability, Education, Occupational Therapy or related field
  • Experience working with children
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
