Automotive Lead Technician Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Lead Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of technicians.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, leadership abilities, and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems. They will also be expected to stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies through ongoing training and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive systems
  • Lead and mentor a team of technicians
  • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies
  • Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5 years of experience in automotive repair
  • A.S.E. certification in at least 3 of A1-A8 (L1 can be one of the three – Brakes and Steering & Suspension A.S.E.s preferred)
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
