Deputy State Manager Role

The Deputy State Manager is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of cancer centres across Queensland. This executive leadership role drives operational excellence and strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Inspire and guide multidisciplinary teams to foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Operational Management: Oversee financial performance, ensure operational compliance, and drive efficiency across services.
  • Business Development: Build relationships with medical professionals and stakeholders to support service expansion and innovation.
  • Quality and Service Excellence: Champion patient-centred care and uphold regulatory standards.
  • Project Leadership: Manage development projects aligned with strategic goals.
About the Ideal Candidate:
  • Minimum 3 years' senior leadership experience in healthcare (oncology or private sector preferred).
  • Strong understanding of cancer care delivery models and health sector funding.
  • Commercial acumen and strategic decision-making skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex operations.
  • Sound understanding of healthcare compliance and quality frameworks.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in health or business (postgraduate preferred).
