Job Title: Food Prep Team Leader

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Food Production Team Leader to manage our early morning Bread Team. This is a structured and calm kitchen environment with high-volume prep for next-day delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to lead a team, assemble sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, and other cold items, label, pack, and check items for accuracy and presentation, maintain flow and cleanliness across your section, guide the team to meet quality and speed targets, and liaise with your supervisor if issues or support are needed.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team during the 2:00am–7:00am shift (up to 24 staff)
  • Assemble sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, and other cold items
  • Label, pack, and check items for accuracy and presentation
  • Maintain flow and cleanliness across your section
  • Guide the team to meet quality and speed targets
  • Liaise with your supervisor if issues or support are needed
Requirements
  • 3+ years of food prep or kitchen experience (café, catering, QSR, or commercial kitchen)
  • Experience with portioning, assembly, and knife handling
  • Leadership or training experience (or willingness to step into a leadership role)
  • Thrives in a quiet, structured early-morning environment
  • Neat, punctual, and keeps your section on track
  • Ability to read labels, follow systems, and communicate clearly in English
