Fruit and Delicatessen Assistant

About the role:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team as a Fruit and Delicatessen Assistant. If you enjoy working with fresh produce, making delicious paninis, and providing exceptional customer service, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with deli orders and offer expert recommendations
  • Prepare fresh paninis
  • Maintain the deli counter's cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal at all times
  • Follow food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an excellent shopping experience
  • Handle cash and operate the point-of-sale system

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of deli experience preferred
  • A passion for food and excellent customer service
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • Availability to work weekends
  • An eye for detail and ability to work efficiently
  • A positive, friendly attitude and a love for working with people
