
Program Leader

As a key player in our education team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of social work education. Your expertise and leadership skills will be invaluable in developing and leading our brand-new Social Work program.
This role offers a unique chance to make your mark on our organization and contribute to research initiatives that drive positive change. You will work closely with our team to develop new courses and support existing ones, ensuring our students receive the best possible education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and support new courses, contributing to research initiatives that advance social work education.
- Collaborate on external articulation arrangements, moderation processes, and academic benchmarking to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Lead and coordinate scholarly activities and professional development for Higher Education staff, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Assist in the annual internal audit of Higher Education operations, identifying areas for improvement.
- Work with the Dean on organizational goals, including marketing, finance, admissions, and alumni relations, to drive business growth.
- Participate in student and staff orientation, graduation ceremonies, and other events that celebrate our students' achievements.
- Engage in program marketing and course promotion activities, showcasing the value of our programs to potential students.
- Prepare agendas and reports for various committees, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Contribute to the development and renewal of academic policies and procedures, maintaining compliance and quality.
- Monitor student progress and satisfaction, using data to inform improvements.
- Conduct performance reviews of academic staff, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Provide insights on academic resource management, optimizing budgets and resources.
About You:
- Qualifications: A Doctorate in Social Work or related field is required, along with significant experience in managerial and teaching roles.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in degree and/or post-graduate teaching and management positions.
- Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing learning, with an annual allocation of 20 hours for professional development.
- Eligibility: Must be eligible for AASW membership.
