We are seeking an experienced Senior Governance Advisor to provide high-level executive, secretariat and administrative support to our governance bodies.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable knowledge of good governance practices and previous experience implementing such practices through the provision of secretariat services to a Board or senior executive group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level executive, secretariat and administrative support to governance bodies and their membership.
  • Coordinate all aspects of meetings and events, including agenda preparation, paper circulation, minute-taking and follow-up action items.
  • Provide advice and assistance on good governance and meeting procedure to assist presiding officers at meetings.
  • Manage the Governance Calendar and forward work plans to ensure that governance bodies meet their obligations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable knowledge of good governance practices.
  • Experience in taking notes, drafting comprehensive minutes and electronic record keeping and retrieval.
  • Ability to plan, manage workloads independently and engage confidently with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and ability to use Diligent Boards or similar platforms for Board business.
