Senior Financial Accountant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of our financial reporting.

Job Description:

The Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for leading the preparation of annual and interim financial statements, managing the group consolidation process, providing technical accounting guidance, and preparing and reviewing financial reports for senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Statutory Accounts: Lead the preparation of annual and interim financial statements in compliance with IFRS and local reporting requirements.
  • Group Consolidations: Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual group consolidation process, ensuring accurate elimination of intercompany transactions and compliance with IFRS.
  • Technical Accounting Advisory: Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including business combinations, lease accounting, revenue recognition, and financial instruments.
  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and review financial reports for senior management, ensuring accuracy and adherence to IFRS, regulatory standards, and internal policies.
  • Audit Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring the timely completion of audits and resolving any technical accounting queries.
  • Process Improvement & Controls: Identify and implement process improvements in financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in a chartered accounting firm, either Big 4 or Mid-Tier, with experience in preparation of statutory accounts, group consolidations, technical accounting advisory, and financial reporting & compliance. You will also have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
