About the Job

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the environmental and sustainability aspects of assigned water infrastructure projects are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

This role involves providing expert environmental leadership and advice to multi-disciplinary project teams, implementing and maintaining a robust Environmental Management system, and liaising with relevant authorities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.

This position is part of our Infrastructure Delivery Group, within the Major Projects team or Program Delivery team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of environmental legislation and extensive experience working on large capital infrastructure construction projects.

About You

You are a passionate advocate for environmental conservation, committed to protecting the environment and improving waterway health. Your background should include providing environmental advice on large-scale infrastructure projects and/or programs of work.

  • Tertiary qualification in Science, Environment Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar role within infrastructure projects
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental legislation
