Lead Cloud Transformation

This is a critical leadership role that drives cloud maturity and platform excellence within a major enterprise. As Head of Cloud, you will shape the direction of a key function, partnering with senior leaders, architects, and product stakeholders to ensure the cloud platform meets business needs in a cost-effective and secure manner.

The ideal candidate will have strong people leadership skills, a servant-leadership mindset, and a solid technical foundation across cloud and platform engineering in complex enterprise environments. They will lead and grow a high-performing cloud team, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence.

You will design and evolve the enterprise hybrid cloud platform strategy, focusing on scalability, usability, and compliance. You will also partner with developers and key stakeholders to ensure the platform supports delivery teams effectively. Additionally, you will champion cloud governance, security, and best practices aligned with regulatory and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and grow a high-performing cloud team, fostering a culture of learning, ownership, and technical excellence
  • Design and evolve the enterprise hybrid cloud platform strategy, with a focus on scalability, usability, and compliance
  • Partner with developers and key stakeholders to ensure the platform supports delivery teams effectively
  • Champion cloud governance, security, and best practices aligned with regulatory and organisational standards
Requirements:
  • 7+ years' proven leadership experience managing large technical teams in cloud/platform engineering
  • Deep understanding of cloud strategy and operations across multi/hybrid environments (AWS/GCP)
  • Comfortable being both technically credible and strategically focused
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management across technology and business functions
  • A collaborative, pragmatic leader who puts team enablement and outcomes first
