About the Position

">

As an Education Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to teachers, students, and parents in managing programs for students at risk. You will design and implement behaviour management plans in consultation with teachers, parents, and psychologists, ensuring these plans align with overall educational outcomes.

You will assist students in developing self-management skills, consult with parents and caregivers independently of teachers, and provide physical restraint and removal of students when necessary. Additionally, you will inform parents about the education system, school procedures, and relevant school policies.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Effective written and oral communication skills, including report writing and the ability to effectively interact with students with special needs.">
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute to a professional team and provide advice and evaluation in the development of the education program.">
  • Ability to assist professionals in the implementation and evaluation of education programs.">
  • Knowledge and understanding of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.">
  • Effective organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective education programs.">
