English Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at MidCoast Christian College.

About the Role:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced English teacher to contribute to the delivery of the Secondary English curriculum.
  • You will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging lessons that cater for diverse learners, incorporating ICT into teaching practices.
  • Utilise data to inform planning and implement assessment for learning principles in your teaching practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver high-quality lessons in 7-12 English and HSC English, utilising a range of teaching methods and technologies.
  2. Cater for students with diverse learning needs, setting high expectations and integrating ICT into teaching practices.
  3. Use data to inform planning and implement assessment for learning principles in your teaching practice.
  4. Contribute to the development of the College's co-curricular program.

Selection Criteria:

  • You must be a practising Christian, active in a church, and subscribe to the Statement of Faith.
  • Demonstrate your understanding and ability to teach from a Christian perspective.
  • Show evidence of strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Hold extensive knowledge of the 7-12 English curriculum and HSC English.
  • Be willing to contribute to the College's co-curricular program.

Requirements:

  • NESA Accreditation
  • Working with Children Check
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency
