Job Title: Data Modeller

We are seeking a skilled Data Modeller to join our team at CYOS Solutions. As a Data Modeller, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data modelling solutions using relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake work that is moderately complex to complete and/or sensitive in nature, under limited direction, utilising expertise and knowledge within the area of data modelling
  • Analyse and translate business needs into long-term solution data models
  • Evaluate existing data systems
  • Work with the development or Agile Delivery team to create conceptual data models and data flows
  • Develop best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system
  • Employ data modelling techniques to develop analytical solutions and make recommendations to business stakeholders
  • Establish sustainable automatic analytical processes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and data professionals to identify and support process improvement opportunities within data governance and quality frameworks
  • Review modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility
  • Implement data strategies and develop physical, conceptual and logical data models
  • Update and optimise local and metadata models
  • Evaluate implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and optimise data systems
Requirements:
  • 3 years of hands-on experience with data modelling
  • Demonstrated ability to use best practice data modelling methods and suitable data analysis tools and techniques
  • Expert knowledge of metadata management and related tools
  • Knowledge of mathematical foundations and statistical analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Understands and manages client expectations to deliver data-driven solutions
  • Experience with team management
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in writing technical documentation using appropriate templates/version control
  • Experience with developing data warehouse, data lake, and enterprise biQ data solutions within cloud-platforms
Desirable Criteria:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a similar field
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Commonwealth frameworks, including ICT frameworks and Resource Management and data storage and warehousing solutions
  • Certifications or training evidence in Data Modelling
