Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our merchandising team in a Category Specialist role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with the Category Lead to manage stakeholder relationships across all buying functions with domestic and international suppliers.

This role is focused on optimising product portfolios while maintaining profitability in line with strategic goals. The individual will gain a deeper understanding of products and services through working within our branch network during induction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive product innovation and development, managing products from concept to launch, collaborating with key stakeholders.
  • Involved in product development, R&D, supplier negotiations, pricing reviews, and category optimisation.
  • Provide reporting and insights on category portfolios using Excel and Power BI, analysing results to update trends and other impacts.
  • Customer-focused, helping build long-term customer relationships.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a buying or category role in merchandising, along with passion for product knowledge.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, positive attitude, and inquisitive nature.
  • Strong relationship building skills, working with various stakeholders and vendors/suppliers.
  • Good Excel and Power BI skills.
  • Business or Marketing degree qualification.
