We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Governance and Customer Trust Specialist to join our team at Wesfarmers OneDigital. As a key member of our Privacy and Customer Trust team, you will play a critical role in supporting our ambition to transform the Australian retail and industrial landscape.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a structured, scalable, and sustainable privacy and customer trust framework that can be continuously improved and adapted for rapidly changing customer, business, and regulatory expectations.
- Provide expert advice to cross-functional teams on data governance, privacy, and customer trust, ensuring that our data and digital capabilities are aligned with our business objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of Responsible AI governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to enhance our member and customer experiences.
- Collaborate with front-line business and technical teams to design, implement, and monitor best practice privacy and customer trust enhancing features across the data lifecycle.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments on a broad range of use cases across all stages of the data lifecycle, from direct marketing to website personalisation and advanced analytics.
- Support assessments, audits, and improvements to our privacy and customer trust framework across OneDigital.
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve privacy and customer trust related policies, processes, training, and standard templates to support the empowerment of front-line business and technical teams.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as business, law, information systems, or technology, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in retail or digital businesses, with a strong understanding of privacy best practices, business, and technology-related issues.
- Proficiency in digital product design and implementation, with a focus on privacy-by-design.
- Strong knowledge and experience with the Australian Privacy Act, OAIC guidance, and IAPP frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and influencing skills, with the ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive practical risk-aware commercial outcomes.
- Good understanding of data governance policies and procedures, with hands-on experience with privacy programs in a professional role.
