This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the career development of Indigenous Australians. The successful candidate will be responsible for building partnerships with local employment providers, TAFE, and higher education institutions to increase Indigenous Australian representation at Arup.

The Indigenous Australian Careers Adviser will also represent Arup at community meetings, forums, and events associated with Indigenous Australian employment. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with local employment providers, TAFE, and higher education institutions
  • Representing Arup at community meetings, forums, and events
  • Supporting Indigenous Australian students in their career development and connecting them with relevant opportunities at Arup
  • Working closely with the Arup Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group to develop and implement strategies to increase Indigenous Australian employment and career development

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A recognised tertiary qualification in a relevant field
  • Relevant industry experience in a consulting business environment
  • A proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment
