Insurance Claims Specialist

This is a position that involves managing and resolving insurance claims, collaborating with insurers, analyzing documentation, and advising clients on the best course of action.
Key Responsibilities- Manage your own claims portfolio and process new insurance claims notifications.
- Collaborate with insurers to report and seek authority on claims outside of delegated authority limits.
- Analyze documentation and evidence to establish whether policy conditions are satisfied.
- Investigate potential fraudulent claims activity and advise clients on the best course of action.
- Ensure accurate recording of claims data and documents in our system.
- Proactively manage claims to achieve the best outcome for clients and their customers.
- Instruct external specialists as required and ensure they adhere to service level agreements.
- Prepare initial estimates of costs and update clients on material changes.
- Previous experience in an insurance, claims or legal environment, ideally including large and complex claims.
- A legal qualification or general insurance experience, particularly knowledge of key processes and interpretation of policies.
- Enthusiasm for delivering high-quality client-centric services and confidence when dealing with people from all walks of life.
- Good analytical, negotiation, and strategic decision-making skills, as well as ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
