Chief Cyber Security Strategist

We are seeking an accomplished Security Governance Expert to join our Cyber Security and Risk team.
About the Role- Develop and maintain comprehensive IT security policies, procedures, and documentation to safeguard the state's environment and heritage.
- Enhance and support the organisation's Information Security Management System (ISMS) utilising industry-recognised standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, Essential 8, and NSW Cyber Security Policy.
- Implement training and awareness programmes to elevate staff knowledge of cyber security and ensure compliance with privacy and security requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on security controls and effectively communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist with audits by gathering evidence, identifying risks, and recommending improvements.
- You have experience in developing security policies, frameworks, and training & awareness.
- You possess knowledge of risk & compliance, audit participation, and communication skills.
- You hold tertiary qualifications in computer science, information technology or related fields, and/or relevant experience.
