Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our bakery team as a Cleaner. As a Bakery Cleaner, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, equipment, and utensils. This includes sweeping, mopping, spraying, washing, and applying cleaning agents, as well as operating a pressure washer. You will also be responsible for re-stocking baking supplies and ingredients, collecting cardboard and trash, and logging sanitation procedures performed on a daily report.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize the bakery area, including sweeping, mopping, and applying cleaning agents.
  • Operate a pressure washer to clean equipment and surfaces.
  • Re-stock baking supplies and ingredients.
  • Collect cardboard and trash, and operate the trash compactor and cardboard baler.
  • Log sanitation procedures performed on a daily report.
  • Follow Standard Sanitation Operating Procedure (SSOP) guidelines and complete safety training required by the warehouse and bakery department.
  • Assist bakers and follow department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency of finished product.
  • Provide prompt and courteous customer service to drivers, members, employees, and suppliers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Availability to work a rotating shift, including weekends.
