New Horizons Enterprises Limited is seeking a Support Worker to join our team in Bilambil Heights and Cudgen. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the wellbeing of our customers and community. We are looking for individuals who can treat our customers as individuals and think outside the box to help them in their unique circumstances.

* Have experience helping people live their best lives, whether in disability services, aged care, or other fields
* Have good availability, with the more you are available, the more work we can offer
* Hold a valid NSW Drivers C class licence and be willing to transport customers
* Understand NDIS services and programs, although this is not essential

The Day-to-Day

As a Support Worker, you will create an environment where customer choice is paramount in a supported independent living (SIL) setting. You will help our customers build and live the life they choose, adapting to each house's unique personality and rhythm. Tasks may include:

* Personal care and medication administration
* Using manual handling equipment to support clients with movement
* Accompanying customers to appointments and adhering to specialist plans
* Adapting communication approaches to include non-verbal customers

We will provide full training to workers new to the sector, ensuring you have the skills and knowledge to best support our customers.
