Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Home Care Support Worker to join our team at Australian Unity. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a genuine difference in people's lives by providing in-home support services to our aged care customers.

About the Role

As a Home Care Support Worker, your primary responsibility will be to assist our customers with activities of daily living tasks such as showering, dressing, medication management, assisting with mobility and therapy goals. You will also provide domestic assistance, light cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and general chores around the house. Additionally, you will offer social support through transportation to appointments and social outings, shopping, and providing emotional support and companionship.

The ideal candidate will have experience and/or qualification as a Disability support worker, Community Services care worker, Assistant in Nursing (AIN) / Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or Nurse. Responsibilities
  • Assist customers with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication management
  • Provide domestic assistance, such as light cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Offer social support, including transportation to appointments and social outings
  • Report and document customer progress
Requirements
  • CURRENT AUSTRALIAN DRIVER'S LICENCE AND OWNERSHIP OF A RELIABLE COMPREHENSIVE INSURED VEHICLE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE
  • Fully vaccinated (2) for Covid-19
  • 12 months+ experience and/or completed a Cert III in Individual Support / Disability / completed 1st year of a Nursing degree
  • Flexibility to work Monday to Friday within the hours of 8am - 6pm
  • Ability to commit to our PAID 2 week 'The Orientation Program' training and induction program when you first commence
