About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Domain Engineering Manager to join our team at NBN Co. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating development activities across our technology domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Domain Iteration Manager and POD DevSecOps Managers to ensure seamless coordination and high operational performance standards throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary technical interface for the technology domain, working closely with the architecture and solution teams to define and prioritize the backlog of work.
  • Engage in every phase of the application lifecycle, from development and testing to deployment and operations, applying industry-leading methods, tools, and practices to ensure applications evolve quickly and reliably.
  • Design engineering processes, review designs, and craft a world-class data environment to support our growth period.
  • Manage vendor relationships and establish commercial arrangements through Statements of Work to explore alternative delivery channels when needed.
  • Support and upskill team members, enhancing the overall quality and effectiveness of our program delivery.
About You

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in IT technical roles, particularly in the delivery and operations of software systems, and experience in a leadership role within an IT environment.

You will be comfortable working in agile teams and familiar with Scrum or other agile methodologies.

Your technical expertise will include experience with AWS services and technologies, including RedShift, CI/CD Frameworks, Data Modelling techniques, Data Warehouse architecture and design, and good database querying and management skills (SQL Scripting).

A keen eye for ensuring good source control standards, application design, and software validation will be essential.

A good understanding of the Telco industry and the technology landscape will be valuable.
