Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Taxation Specialist to join our team at Auto & General. As a key member of our Tax team, you will be responsible for providing support to our Tax team that manages all of Auto & General's taxation obligations.

• Prepare the Auto & General Group income tax and FBT returns
• Assist with the preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements, payment times reporting, insurance duty returns and payroll tax returns for the Auto & General Group
• Assist with the preparation of tax calculations and disclosures required for accounting purposes
• Maintain and update the tax fixed asset registers
• Assist with researching tax issues and drafting advice to the business operations
• Support the group's tax governance, by identifying tax risks and improving tax policies and procedures.

• Tertiary qualifications in Law or Commerce / Accounting or similar (mandatory)
• Have started a Masters of Tax or CA /CPA qualification (preferred)
• Tax experience in professional services or corporate environment desirable.
• Genuine desire to gain new knowledge and develop your skills
• Ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Positive outlook with a team focussed attitude
