Taxation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at Auto & General. As a key member of our Tax team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our taxation obligations.

• Prepare and lodge income tax and FBT returns for the Auto & General Group
• Assist with the preparation of monthly Business Activity Statements, payment times reporting, insurance duty returns, and payroll tax returns
• Conduct tax calculations and disclosures for accounting purposes
• Maintain and update tax fixed asset registers
• Research tax issues and provide advice to the business operations
• Support the group's tax governance by identifying tax risks and improving tax policies and procedures

• Tertiary qualifications in Law or Commerce/Accounting or similar
• Experience in tax or accounting, preferably in a corporate environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
