Sydney-Based Business Analyst Cost Optimisation Consultant

Job Opportunity
A new client, in the Retail Banking Sector, based in Sydney and Melbourne has commenced a cost optimisation program, initially focusing on procurement. This involves working with a partner and other analysts to confirm initial opportunities in procurement and size the most material opportunities.
- About the Role:
- The Business Analyst will be accountable for delivering 2-3 major initiatives that involve confirming and sizing cost opportunities in the procurement area, developing detailed definition, scope and implementation plans for those opportunities and working with the client to deliver the cost savings identified.
Requirements:
- Experience with a Big 4 consulting firm or equivalent industry experience
- A detailed understanding of the Retail Banking sector in Australia
- Experience in procurement in major organisations
- The ability to analyse procurement arrangements and negotiate with third parties to optimise the client's cost position
- Strong spoken and written communication skills (particularly PowerPoint)
- The ability to synthesise complex and disparate information into insights and recommended actions
