Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill the role of Arborist Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for administering Council's Tree Preservation Order, undertaking administrative tasks, and preparing quotation documents.

  • Administering Council's Tree Preservation Order.
  • Undertaking administration.
  • Preparing quotation documents, assessing and selecting contractors, and project managing the completion of various arboriculture works on public land.
  • Providing advice to the public on correct arboriculture practice and management of trees.
  • Liaising with independent Arborists and consultants in relation to tree management when required.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Horticulture (Arboriculture) and expert knowledge in arboriculture including experience in carrying out inspections and preparing reports.

Key Requirements
  • Certificate III in Horticulture (Arboriculture).
  • Expert knowledge in arboriculture including experience in carrying out inspections and preparing reports.
  • Knowledge of Australian Standards relating to arboriculture.
  • Excellent customer relations skills.
