The RoleYou will play a critical role in assessing each application meticulously, collaborating closely with customers, sales, and account management teams to ensure the best outcomes for both parties.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate underwriting of commercial loan applications in the 'Prospa Plus/Full Doc' segment ($250K-$500K).
- Perform bank statement analysis for low-doc up to $250K.
- Provide in-depth detailed analysis of financial statements and calculate industry and credit risk.
- Present deals to the Credit Committee with a comprehensive understanding of the risk and associated mitigants in a given transaction.
- Conduct credit calls with clients and relevant stakeholders to collect additional information relevant to the proposed transaction.
- Liaise with senior members in other areas of the business to discuss scenarios and appeals.
- Prepare clear, thorough, and informative credit papers for each application.
- Comply with internal controls and government regulations.
- Minimum 3-5 years underwriting/Credit analyst experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field desirable but not necessary.
- Previously held a DLA (delegated lending authority).
- Experience in commercial lending.
- Experience with business financial documents such as Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, AR/RP.
- Strong credit risk acumen and commercial judgment.
- Experience with property secured lending is advantageous.
- Familiarity with personal and company credit reports, ASIC searches, and other various background information.
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and ability to follow processes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interact professionally with management, sales, and business owners.
- Experience in a high-pressured environment working to deadlines.
- Outstanding written and verbal communications skills.
