About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our team at Ventia. As a key member of our PCI (Pulverised Coal Injection) & Blast Furnace 5 Team, you will be responsible for improving maintenance strategies, engineering documentation, and spares management at our PCI plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Reliability & Performance: Report on plant maintenance performance indicators, consistent with OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and review progress against targets.
  • Strategy Development and Review: Lead the development and review of asset strategies to ensure maintenance practices are effective and aligned to operational requirements.
  • Team Development: Coach and mentor a Defect Elimination mindset in the maintenance team.
  • Budgets & Cost: Prepare R&M budget for your area of responsibility accompanied by forecasting and monitoring expenditure.
Requirements
  • Sound knowledge of Reliability Centred Maintenance, KT, RCA, Defect Elimination, Lean (5 S) methodologies.
  • Financial awareness and budgeting processing experience.
  • A good understanding or interest in Industry 4.0, including Digital Transformation, Digital Twins, IOT (Internet of Things), AI (Artificial Intelligence) & Machine Learning.
  • Thorough understanding of Blue Scope's Safety, Environment & Risk Management Systems.
  • Sound knowledge of condition monitoring techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
  • Ability to identify and drive process improvements.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Proficiency in SAP maintenance components.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including MS Project and Excel.
