Electrical Reliability Specialist

About the RoleWe're seeking an experienced Electrical & Process Reliability Engineer to join our Hot Strip Mill (HSM) team in Port Kembla. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering sustained improvement in process uptime and unit cost reduction to our HSM plant assets.
Key Responsibilities- Coach and mentor maintenance team members to improve technical knowledge and skills
- Provide electrical and process control systems technical support, advanced problem-solving, and fault-finding
- Analyse plant and equipment performance data to identify patterns and implement effective solutions
- Lead and facilitate multi-disciplined teams to identify and implement asset and cost improvement projects
- Supervise maintenance activities and strive for business improvements and manufacturing excellence
- Develop and maintain maintenance strategies and capital project plans to increase reliability and minimise cost
- Identify and lead cost reduction activities to improve the efficiency of R&M spend
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or Mechatronics
- Experience in relevant maintenance within manufacturing or heavy industry
- A commitment to safety and wellbeing
- Experience with fault-finding PLCs and motor control systems
- The ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team
