Community Development Officer
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Community Development Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and collaborating with our Employment Specialist team to recruit participants and find employment opportunities in the Sunshine Coast region.
The successful candidate will provide expert guidance alongside our program mentors, ensuring each participant thrives and achieves sustainable employment outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in their community.
Main Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and collaborate with our Employment Specialist team to recruit participants and find employment opportunities.
- Mentor and support participants to achieve their goals and secure meaningful employment.
- Navigate multiple stakeholders, meet pressing deadlines, and exceed outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- A current C Class Driver's License.
- A Valid Working with Children Blue Card or the ability to obtain one.
- Sensitivity and effectiveness in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, leaders, and Indigenous organisations.
