About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gardener - Handyperson to join our team at Neerigen Brook Primary School. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining and presenting our school grounds in a clean and tidy condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition.
  • Provide gardening, grounds, and facility management to ensure a safe, vibrant, and clean school environment.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as requested, using safe work practices and in accordance with the Department's policies and guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with the facilities team to achieve our goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining grounds and gardens, including turf management.
  • Demonstrated experience in minor servicing of horticultural/gardening equipment and performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of gardening methods and procedures, including the safe use and storage of gardening equipment, materials, and chemicals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
