About the Opportunity

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high degree of motivation, initiative, and enthusiasm. You will be part of a team delivering a broad range of planned quality activities and ensuring Quality Standards are maintained to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.

As a Quality Control Inspector (Welding), you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects and contribute to the success of our business. You will be responsible for inspecting and approving products, gathering objective quality evidence of build in accordance with design, and providing informal training to supervisors and team leads on product standards.

In this role, you will also support the completion of non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Additionally, you will undertake review and reporting on the efficiency and effectiveness of quality practices across the business and provide guidance, advice, and support on all quality-related matters.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a certified welding inspector qualification (e.g., AWI, IWI-B or CSWIP 3.1) and have excellent attention to detail with organisation skills. You will also need to be able to work independently with little supervision and guidance and using your own experience, judgement, and initiative.

You should also have excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate with staff at all levels and from a range of disciplines. A capability to establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders is also essential.
