Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met on our projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and reviewing Inspection and Test Plans and Checklists
  • Recommending inspection and sampling techniques, quality control plans, process control procedures, testing and analysis procedures to ensure design specifications and standard requirements are met
  • Capturing Hold and Witness Points in Inspection and Test Plans as required by the Design Report, Standards and Specifications
  • Working closely with the Construction team to ensure lots are opened in a timely manner, are complete, reviewed, and closed out efficiently
  • Conducting Surveillance audits/Site inspections and reporting to the construction team and Quality Manager any potential non-conformances
  • Maintaining Calibration Records of measuring and monitoring equipment during the execution of works
  • Documenting quality issues and performance measures for management review
  • Assisting with the implementation of the organisational Quality Management System on the project to ensure quality objectives and targets are met
  • Preparing audit reports summarising production and quality issues together with recommending corrective actions

To be successful in this key role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (or similar), Science, Building, Construction, Quality Management or Project Management
  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications along with broad work experience in rail, signalling and/or steel fabrication/welding
  • More than 3 years' experience in a quality representative role
  • Quality assurance experience gained preferably within the construction industry on Major Rail or Infrastructure Projects
  • Experience in developing and implementing project QA management systems
