This dynamic role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of health professionals, providing high-quality services to the Central Australian community.
As an Aboriginal Allied Health Assistant, you will support allied health professionals in delivering culturally responsive care, working closely with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A commitment to delivering culturally appropriate services is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support one or more allied health disciplines, including Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry, Eye Health/Vision rehabilitation, Diabetes Nurse education, Audiology, Disability and aged care, and/or Dietetics.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure smooth running of allied health teams.
- Provide culturally responsive and safe allied health services to clients.
Requirements:
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or willingness to complete formal training).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Commitment to delivering culturally appropriate services to clients.
