Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/or Linesperson Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter Mechanic and/or Linesperson to join our team at Energy Queensland. This is a permanent opportunity to work in a dynamic and growing organization.

About the Role

As an Electrical Fitter Mechanic, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various items of electrical equipment and plant. As a Linesperson, you will construct, maintain, and repair overhead, high, and low voltage electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains, and customer service lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be trade qualified with a Queensland Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence or a Queensland Electrical Licensing Board Certificate of Competency as an Electrical Linesperson.
  • Install, repair, commission, and maintain electrical equipment and plant.
  • Construct, maintain, and repair electrical distribution and sub-transmission systems, street lighting mains, and customer service lines.
  • Work safely and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Travel to surrounding areas from time to time to undertake work.
About You

We are looking for someone with a strong knowledge of electricity distribution and transmission systems, including construction and maintenance of the electrical network. You should also have a working knowledge of relevant statutory acts and regulations, such as the Electricity Act and Workplace Health and Safety Act.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including a salary range of $108,859 to $117,214 per annum, plus 14.75% superannuation. We also offer a range of benefits, including a non-urban zone allowance, housing allowance, locality allowance, and non-urban time recognition payments.
