Estimator Role Overview

This role involves creating detailed sales estimates for construction projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of estimating principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for tenders and contracts within client-agreed timeframes.
  • Collaborate with the sales and operations team to deliver exceptional customer service.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Providing accurate pricing for contracts and variations.
  • Analysing project documentation to ensure all elements are included.
  • Liaising with stakeholders throughout the process and identifying potential areas of risk.

Key qualifications include:

  • 1-2 years' experience in residential building industry estimating.
  • Tertiary or TAFE qualification in estimating is highly advantageous.
  • Knowledge of National Construction Code and strong analytical skills required.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and contribute to a tight-knit team.
